Abstract:
In view of the problems such as deficient output power,bad dynamic property and low success probability of start arc,a self-adapting current control pulse width modulation(PWM) high-frequency starter is designed.The starter can automatically detect the condition of the welding machine and adjust working modes.In this way,starting arc and steady arc are achieved without specific power supply circuit.The test verifies that this starter has better capabilities of starting arc and steady arc.When the distance between the tungsten and the workpiece is within 5 mm,first success probability of start arc reaches 100%,and when the distance is within 14 mm,it achieves steady arc.It can be used as independent equipment for tungsten inert gas(TIG) welding or plasma-arc welding and cutting.
