Abstract:
In order to study the effect of stern charge configuration on the performances of penetrators,the formation of penetrators is simulated by LS-DYNA software.The shaped stern charge ignition at central point and wreath multi-points are adopted.By changing configurations of stern charge,different penetrators are obtained and analyzed.The effect of charge radius and charge angle on the performance of penetrators are obtained.It can be concluded from the results that the penetrator performance from stern charge is better than that from general shaped charge.This paper supplies rationally a basic design principle for stern charge.The optimum radius of stern is approximately 40% of the charge radius,and the optimum obliquity of stern is approximately 45°.
