Abstract:
An energy-efficient local node selection strategy is presented for target locating and tracking based on the received energy information that saves the network energy through selecting the reasonable sensor nodes.In the proposed scheme,each node decides its working status independently based on energy variation of the received target signal,which greatly reduces the information exchanges with the neighbor nodes and center nodes.The locating and tracking performance using the proposed node selection scheme is evaluated by computer simulations.The results show that accurate locating and tracking with very low energy consumption is achieved.
