Abstract:
The gain of the millimeter-wave amplifier varies with the ambient temperature,and its effect on the amplitude of the output signal of the millimeter-wave direct detection radiometer is analyzed.As it is difficult to do temperature compensation in millimeter-wave circuits directly,a thermistor is added to the feedback circuit of the video amplifier as temperature compensation to keep the total gain of the receiver constant when the temperature changes.This temperature compensation method is much easier than that to add temperature compensation circuit directly to the millimeter-wave amplifier.The analysis and the experimental results show that this temperature compensation method works with good performance.The amplitude of the output signal is much more stable when the ambient temperature changes.
