Abstract:
The purpose is to obtain a linear explosively formed projectile(LEFP) with a good flying form under large standoff.The LS-DYNA3D finite element analysis software and the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE) algorithms are used to simulate the forming process of shaped charge liner initiated by more ridges and a single ridge.The head and trail axis speed-time curves of LEFP,speed grads of every liner curvature particulate and section forms under these two different blast ways are compared.The penetration power under different blast ways is simulated with a five-time charge caliber.The calculated results show that the LEFP initiated by more ridges has better shape and great penetration power.The penetration power of LEFP initiated by more ridges is 5.2 % higher than that by a single edge.
