Abstract:
The dynamics and damage of a flexible missile cylinder in large overall motion acted by shock waves are studied here.The method of kineto-elastiodynamics(KED) is used to perform the dynamic modeling for the system,and the dynamic equations of the large overall motion and two-dimensional transverse vibrations of the flexible missile cylinder are established.The approach of assumed modes is employed to describe the deformation of the flexible cylinder,and the partial differential dynamic equations are changed to the form of ordinary differential equations.Based on the dynamic analysis on the system,the cylinder strength is analysed with consideration of the stress concentration phenomenon induced by holes.An example is given to numerically analyze the dynamics and the damage effects of shock waves on the flexible missile cylinder.
