To analyze the falling strength of a certain type dummy round after launching,a hydraulic-solid coupling approach is used based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA here.Through the Hopkinson press rod experiment system,the nonlinear constitutive relationships of the chosen materials are obtained.The multi-material simulation model having dummy round,water and air is established.Based on the Euler/Lagrange penalty function coupling algorithm,restriction equations are established,and the mechanical parameter is transferred.Numerical simulation and simulation analysis for the whole process of dummy round falling into water after launching are carried out.The stress-strain responses of the dummy round under fluid impacting load are obtained.The result shows that in the moment that the dummy round dropps into water,the part contacting with the fluid has a little flexibly shrunken concavity.The stress is rapidly decreased and stabilized,and the elastic deformation disappeares when it falls into water.The body strength satisfies the requirements in the operating mode of the dummy round freely falling into water horizontally from the hight of 10 m.The proposed approach is also applicable for other fluid impact problems with large deformation and nonlinearity.
