Abstract:
To explore the controll method for improving the combustion stability of bulk-loaded liquid propellant,cylindrical and stepped-wall chambers are designed here.Experimental study on the expanding and turbulent mixing process of gas jets in simulative liquid is carried out by using a digital high-speed video camera.Experimental results indicate that the radial expansion of gas jet is intensified in the stepped-wall chamber,the random of the expanding process is decreased and the gas-liquid mixture quality is improved effectively.The expanding process depends on the divergent geometry of the stepped-wall chamber and the jet strength.By matching these parameters,the jet expansion can be controlled in a certain extent,and the combustion stability can be improved.
