Abstract:
A three-dimensional micro scale finite element method of 3D woven tubular composites is developed based on its micro architecture to simulate the damage evolution under the circumstances of axial-tensile load. The axial-tension experiments are done with samples made with reformative resin transfer moldling( RTM) technics. Good correlation is acquired between the calculation results and experimental data. The initial damage appeares in the weft yarn on transverse direction and the nonlinear properties is observably presented on the strain-stress curve. The numerical model is verified.
