Abstract:
An experimental study about muzzle noise suppression is conducted on supersonic and subsonic bullet of a minor-caliber rifle.The noise reduction measured at measuring points which have different distances from muzzles is analyzed for the two bullets.The data measured on the rifles with single-chamber and multi-chamber are compared with the data measured on the rifle without muzzle device.The effect of distances on noise reduction is obtained.The frequency spectrum analyzer is conducted for the single and automatic fire of a rifle.The corresponding amplitude-frequency characteristics curves are acquired.The influencing factors on noise reduction are analyzed.
