Abstract:
To discuss the depolarized capability of the typical rough surfaces for P-polarized incident light,the transposition process of the polarization state of light waves is described by the Stokes-Mueller formula.Under the p-polarized incident light,the theoretical model of elements measurement in the Mueller matrix of typical rough surfaces is deduced.According to the theoretical model,the values of M11/M00 in Mueller matrix of the different standard typical rough surfaces and typical targets’ surfaces are measured by experiments.The results indicate that the value of M11/M00 decreases with the increase of surface roughness.The values of M11/M00 of metal targets are larger than 0.61,the values of camouflage,wooden plates and cement boards are all less than 0.3.The depolarized capabilities of metal targets and other targets are significantly different.
