Abstract:
In order to enhance the design efficiency of the square loop slot frequency selective surface ( FSS) loading with lumped capacitance,an equivalent circuit model is proposed. The frequency response can be calculated directly based on the dimension of the FSS units and the parameters of the lumped elements,which greatly simplifies the process of the loaded FSS design. The FSS with resonant frequency 2. 45 GHz is designed using the circuit model. Theoretical and experimental parameters of the FSS agree with each other which indicates that this equivalent circuit model is useful for designing and analyzing the loaded FSS for low frequency application in microwave bands.
