To solve the problem that the traditional single-input single-output(SISO)radar is ineffective when detecting the high-speed targets using the long time coherent integration approach,a method based on the phased-array multi-input multi-output(MIMO)random polyphase codes radar is presented.By coherently processing multi-channel echoes in parallel within a short duration,the target motion can be controlled within half range units,and the detection performance degradation caused by the target range migration can be avoided.The transmitted array is divided into multi-overlapped subarrays.The transmitted processing gain is increased by coherent processing in each subarray.The angular resolution is improved by the waveform diversity between different subarrays.The range and angle of a high-speed target can be unambiguously estimated in the low signal-to-noise ratio.Simulation results varify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
