Monopulse radar usually works in complex electromagnetical environment.In order to solve the problem that the angle location cannot be estimated precisely via monopulse method caused by strong interferences,especially mainlobe interference,a new adaptive monopulse algorithm is proposed to solve the problem mentioned here.The received array data are firstly used in multistage Wiener filter structure with appropriate source estimation technique to obtain the direction of arrival of the mainlobe interference quickly.A blocking matrix is constructed according to the information of the mainlobe interference location.After the array data are preprocessed by the blocking matrix,a fast adaptive beamforming algorithm based on orthogonal projection method is applied to form the sum beam and difference beams in the monopulse system.Theoretical analysis and simulation results prove the effectiveness and correctness of the algorithm proposed here.
