Abstract:
In order to improve the characteristics of 2,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-2,3-dinitro-1,4-butanediol tetranitrate(BHDBT),a series of covering experiments for BHDBT are conducted to study the effect of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT)on the characteristics of BHDBT.Selecting BHDBT as the main explosive and TNT as binder,three samples marked as No.1,No.2 and No.3 with fractions of 3%,8% and 10% TNT respectively are prepared by solution-water suspension.The thermal stability of BHDBT and three temples is tested by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TG).Comparing the results of DSC and TG,it shows that thermal decomposition heat and decomposition residue of all samples increase,thermal stability of sample No.1 and No.2 decrease slightly,but No.3 increases slightly.The comparative particle size analyses of BHDBT and samples are made based on the analysis results with scanning electron microscope(SEM)and laser particle size analyzer.It is found that the particle size of sample No.1 change a little compared with BHDBT,but the sizes of No.2 and No.3 enlarge much.The comparative mechanical sensitivity analyses of BHDBT and samples are conducted.It is found the impact sensitivity of sample No.3 shows a declining tendency compared with BHDBT,but the sensitivity of No.1 and No.2 changes a little; the friction sensitivity of all samples is the same with that of BHDBT.
