In order to exploit spatial multiplexing gain and multiuser diversity gain for multiuser multi-input multi-output(MIMO)system,a joint optimization of both Tomlinson-Harashima precoding(THP)scheme and multiuser scheduling algorithm is proposed.Unlike traditional THP scheme,the proposed THP scheme can be applied to the case where the number of data streams are less that of receive antennas for each user,which can greatly improve the system sum rate by exploiting the multi-antenna receiving diversity of multiuser MIMO systems.Because the optimal scheduling algorithm for the multiuser MIMO system with the proposed THP scheme has very high computational complexity,a suboptimal scheduling algorithm with low computational complexity is proposed,which greedily schedules users by utilizing the layered precoding.Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed scheduling is near to that of the optimal scheduling scheme,and outperforms that of the traditional scheduling scheme.
