To overcome the blindness of trial-and-error method for parameter selection of conventional methods,a robust controller tuning method based on maximum sensitivity is proposed.A main and a secondary controller each has one adjustable parameter are designed using internal model control(IMC)method.Analytical expressions are derived for robust tuning of the adjustable parameters for the main and secondary controllers according to the maximum sensitivity specification.Simulation results show that the method proposed here can provide a better dynamic performance and robustness against parameter perturbation.
