Abstract:
In order to improve the precision and recall of salient object detection,an improved salient object detection method is proposed based on the conventional saliency measure via the average absorbing steps.True background nodes are selected using boundary connectivity to improve accuracy.A coarse conspicuity map is constructed to highlight the real object in the image center and suppress the real background area.The precision and recall of the method proposed here are higher than 7 state-of-the-art methods especially the saliency method based on the absorbing Markov chain on the benchmark MSRA-1000 data base.The experimental results demonstrate the superiority of this method.
