Abstract:
In order to study the muzzle flow field structure of the pulsed gas cannon,the unsteady viscous compressible two dimensional axisymmetrical equation and the Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model are established.Combined with the dynamic layering meshing technique,the muzzle flow field produced by the projectile motion in the chamber is numerically simulated under the 0.5 MPa initial pressure,and the variation charts of mach number contours at different times are given.The development law of the muzzle flow field is studied in detail and the change law of projectile motion is analyzed further.The results show that the structure of muzzle flow field is mainly composed of some complex waves such as the muzzle shock wave,the projectile base shock wave,and the bottle shape shock wave.Affected by the complex muzzle flow field,the projectile motion velocity outside the barrel is weakly fluctuant.
