Abstract:
To prepare more new metal-organic polymers with novel structures and unique properties,a new two-dimensional complex with the formula of {[Cd3(btc)2(imb)]·H2O}n(1)is solvothermally synthesized through the reaction of Cd(NO3)2·4H2O with 2-(1H-imidazol-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole(imb)and sodium benzene-1,2,3-tricarboxylate(Na3btc)in the mixtures of water and methanol at 120 ℃.The complex 1 is structurally characterized by elemental analysis,infrared spectrum and single crystal X-ray diffraction.In 1,each btc3- coordinated to five Cd(II)ions to form the sandwich type one-dimensional chains,consequently the imb ligands connect these chains to build up a two-dimensional layered structure.The powder X-ray diffraction patterns,thermal stability and solid-state fluorescence properties are also studied.1 indicates good thermal stability before 180 ℃ and shows good solid-state fluorescence performance.
