Two transition metal complexes including zinc benzenesulfonate[Zn(H2O)6](C6H5SO3)2(1)and zinc p-tolylsulfonate[Zn(H2O)6](p-CH3C6H4SO3)2(2)are obtained by the slow evaporation method in water,and the two products are all the colorless block crystal. The structures of the two complexes are characterized by infraved radiation(IR),nudear magnetic resonance(NMR),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA)and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The results show that the two complexes belong to the monoclinic system and the space group P21/c. The Zn(Ⅱ)ions in the two complexes all coordinate with the oxygen atoms in the six coordination water molecules to form a deformed octahedral spatial configuration. They extend to a three-dimensional supramolecular structure through hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. In addition,the solid-state fluorescent properties of two complexes are studied.
